
MUDr. Kristýna Frühaufová, PhD.
She was born in Prague and graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in 2005. In 2012 she obtained certification in the field of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and in 2014 defended her Ph.D. dissertation in Experimental Surgery. In 2022 she achieved the highest level of specialization with board certification in Reproductive Medicine.
She began her clinical career at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the General University Hospital in Prague and later worked at the University Hospital in Hradec Králové. Since 2013 she has been dedicated exclusively to assisted reproduction. She worked as a specialist at ISCARE IVF between 2013 and 2022 and currently serves as Head Doctor at GYNEM IVF Clinic.
Her professional focus includes personalized stimulation protocols, oncofertility and egg donation. She completed several international training programs, including an internship at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Taipei University Hospital and a specialized course in ovarian tissue cryopreservation in Brussels.
She is the lead author of the monograph Fertility Preservation in Cancer Patients in Practice (2017), a widely used guide for clinicians in the Czech Republic. She has also contributed to a number of Czech and international scientific publications, including research on female fertility preservation and reproductive health in specialized patient populations.
She regularly participates in national and international conferences and educational events, where she lectures on topics such as fertility preservation and personalized fertility care.
She always takes an individual approach to patient care and believes that every treatment plan should reflect the specific needs of the patient. In her free time she devotes herself to her family and enjoys running, cycling, yoga and skiing.
