
MUDr. Kristýna Frühaufová, PhD.
Education and Qualifications
MUDr. Kristýna Frühaufová, Ph.D., graduated in General Medicine from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague in 2005. She obtained her board certification in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in 2012, completed her postgraduate studies in Experimental Surgery in 2014 and achieved board certification in Reproductive Medicine in 2022.
Clinical Experience
She began her clinical career at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital Hradec Králové in 2006. From 2007 to 2013, she worked at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the General University Hospital in Prague. She subsequently dedicated herself exclusively to assisted reproduction, working at ISCARE IVF from 2013 to 2022. Since February 2022, she has been part of GYNEM IVF Clinic, where she currently serves as Head Doctor.
Areas of Expertise
Her main professional interests include personalized ovarian stimulation protocols, fertility preservation, oncofertility and egg donation.
International Training
She has completed several international training programmes, including an internship at Taipei University Hospital in Taiwan and a specialized course in ovarian tissue cryopreservation in Brussels. She has also completed training in first-trimester screening with the Fetal Medicine Foundation.
Publications and Research
She is the author of the monograph Fertility Preservation in Cancer Patients in Practice, published in 2017, and has authored or co-authored 19 Czech and international scientific publications. Her work also includes two chapters in Czech medical monographs and publications in impact-factor journals. Her current H-index is 8.
She has participated as a co-investigator in five clinical studies conducted between 2011 and 2025 and served as Principal Investigator of a clinical study in 2018.
Lecturing and Teaching
She regularly lectures at national and international medical congresses, including invited presentations at Czech and international professional forums. Between 2006 and 2013, she was also actively involved in teaching Czech and international medical students in the fifth and sixth years of their studies through seminars and lectures.
Professional Memberships
She is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Czech Section of Assisted Reproduction and the Czech Section of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

In her clinical practice, she places great emphasis on an individual approach, with every treatment plan tailored to the client’s specific medical situation, needs and personal circumstances.
